Color Trends and Color of the year
Pantone, the leader in color forecasting, has picked ‘Blue Iris’ as the color of the year for 2008! Blue Iris represents the harmony and play between the colors blue and purple. If you combine the the calm, dependable , business-like aspects of blue with the spiritual and mystical – meditative qualities of the color purple, then you’ll have Blue Iris.
They also say that Blue Iris is a color that gives us an emotional anchor through the mystery of life including a touch of excitement. Pantone also mentioned that the color ‘Blue Iris’ as being reflective of the times for the current year. Does that mean we’ll have a calm year in 2008? I’d like to think so as my last year was nothing but confusing.
Pantone had also forecast the color ‘Chili Pepper Red’ as the color of the year for 2007? Was your year hot, spicy, a bit daring and possibly explosive?
