I just ran across this faux-art site. I’m not only super impressed with the color combinations created by this business, I think they’ve really got a handle on graphics in wall art. I’ve been feeling like the trend is coming back to wall graphics that were popular when I started faux painting some twenty five years ago. I highly recommend checking out the Color Fyxx site. You will find examples of current, classy and sophisticated color combinations and designs. The way they use color blocking makes me think of the Geometric Sponge Technique that I teach on my Sponge Painting DVD. (You can see a free mini-demonstration of this technique from when I appeared on the Sheryl Bordon show). I can clearly see combining the color combinations shown on the Color Fyxx website and add another level of interest and depth with sponge painting.
