Basket Weaving

I finally got a chance to do a basket weaving technique. That is one of those finishes that I rarely have a call for. But when I do it’s always the perfect solution for the area.
I actually had to refer back to my DVD, Weave, Drag & Com, as I wasn’t quite sure as to [...]

I’ve been working on an outdoor mural and wow I now know why I don’t do much of this. There is so many things that change during the day outside compared to working indoors.

I just created this textured finish for a client and I was so relieved that they knew me. I mean the first layer I put on and had to leave over night was shocking. She just looked at me and said, “I’m not worried”.
I believed her because I’ve done a great deal of work for [...]

I just read some advice on faux finishing and they mentioned that you don’t need expensive tools to do faux painting. I have to agree, for the most part the tools I use aren’t that expensive.
The paint brushes I primarily use for wall finishes are the natural china bristle ones but I get the inexpensive [...]

DVD Review

I just found this review online and it’s perfect because it states what I intended and succeeded in doing when I made the dvd’.
“Good instruction and, as a professional finisher, I was impressed at the number of tricks of the trade to use when applying Venetian plaster. Overall a very good DVD.”
